Remembrance @ VPS (Updated)
All of our pupils in school have taken part in an activity to create a 'Field of Remembrance' at the front of our school building. Children made their own poppies and 'planted' them outside yesterday. This simple activity created a really powerful image. Also, at 11am on 11th November our school fell silent in an act of Remembrance. The children also had an added surprise both before and after our minute silence. Mr Browne, a parent, came into school and, very poignantly, played the bag pipes for us. It was a very fitting way for the children to pause and remember and we thank Mr Browne for his support.
