Poppy Appeal - Materials Required
Hi all...this year we will be unable to come together in the school hall as part of our Remembrance Commemoration activities. Instead, we intend to create a 'Field of Remembrance' out in our school garden with each child making their own Poppy to plant. In order for us to do this, we need the help of parents / carers. It's time do dig through the recycling boxes!! We would ask all parents / carers to send their child into school with the bottom of a large plastic bottle (mainly from a coke, pepsi, fanta, water bottle etc - like the one shown in the picture.)
The children will then spend time in school painting the bottle to create their very own Poppy to 'plant' in our school garden. Please only send in the bottom of the bottle, as in the picture, not the entire bottle and please have them sent into school by Thursday morning. We can't wait to share some pictures of our Field of Remembrance once it is completed.
