Food Waste Challenge
Our Eco Committee would like all of our families in school to take part in the Northern Ireland Eco Schools Food Waste Challenge.
The whole idea behind this is to ensure that we recycle as much of our food waste as possible, at home, via our kitchen waste bins.
School will be sending home self-adhesive labels to be placed on your kitchen waste bin to remind families to use the food bin / caddy and small magnetic pledge cards to be put on your fridge at home. These have been provided by Northern Ireland Eco Schools. We haven't quite received enough for all our families so we have asked NI Eco Schools to send some more.
Most importantly.....you could win £200 for our school by posting photographs of your home #wastehero actions. Either post your photos directly to Eco-Schools social media (see below) or e-mail photos to david.mccann@keepnorthernirelandbeautiful.org clearly stating which school you are from and the school's postcode BT38 7EZ.
Send your fun photos of food recycling using #wastehero
