Parents / Carers, I am writing to update parents and carers of the closure times of the adventure playground. As you know, our adventure playground is based within our secure front playground.
At times, this playground is used for PE, outdoor learning, daily mile etc up until 3pm. When this playground is used for teaching, including between 2pm and 3pm, the playground should be secure, free from adults other than school staff etc. This is a core aspect of our Child Protection Policy and Site Security Policy that have just been updated.
As a result, the adventure playground will not be available for families to use between 2pm and 3pm and Mr Ervine will be locking the front playground gates at approx 2.10pm once children have been collected at the end of their school day. This is to ensure that the playground is free and secure in order for other classes to use the outdoor area.
I'm sorry for any inconvenience this may cause, however, I am sure you will appreciate the reason behind it.
