Breakfast Club - Important Information
28th Feb 2024
I wrote to parents / carers a while ago to inform them of the importance of booking for breakfast club and not simply turning up. For a while, we did see an increase in bookings via the app which was great. This ensured that we knew how many children are due to attend, ensure we have appropriate staffing in place (as our breakfast club numbers are growing) and to ensure that accurate records are kept for financial purposes.
Unfortunately, we have started to see a large number of children arrive to breakfast club who are not booked. I must request that this stops immediately, unless in a REAL emergency. We are at real risk of going beyond staff:pupil ratio at which point we would need to stop accepting children into breakfast club.
If you are having any trouble with the School Money app, please use their website to book on instead. If you continue to have trouble, please call into the school office and speak with Mrs Ritchie who will be able to help.
We are almost at the point when we will need to turn children away from breakfast club if they are not booked in. We will continue to monitor this situation for the next week or so. If there is no improvement, I am afraid that we will need to start refusing entry and turning children away. Obviously, we want to be in a position to provide a space for everyone, which is why booking is so essential.
Thanks,
Mr C. Fulton
